Gymnastics Team Coach - Salina

Under the supervision of the Gymnastics Coordinator, the Team Gymnastics Coach is responsible for the safe instruction of the gymnastics program. The Gymnastics Coach will provide a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting all participants, maintaining a clean and safe facility and demonstrating professional conduct at all times.
• Assist Coordinator with the development of the team gymnastics program.
• Stress the importance of safety to students.
• Demonstrate to gymnasts whenever possible.
• Responsible for putting away all equipment after use.
• Possess current certifications for sanction competitions.
• Attend gymnastics meets as requested.
• Responsible for daily lesson plans.
• Attend coaches meetings.
  Participate in workshops, camps, and YMCA trainings programs to help educate and keep up to date on new techniques as needed.
• Teach private lessons if needed.
• Make recommendations for students to be promoted to another level.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting all participants, maintaining a clean and safe facility and demonstrating professional conduct at all times.
• Responds to challenges with possible solutions in a timely manner.
• All other duties as requested.

• Must have an understanding of the sport of gymnastics and have gymnastic experience and be knowledgeable about spotting techniques.
• Experience building relationships with children, staff, volunteers, and parents
• Strong public relations, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong desire to work with children.
• The ability to work and resolve conflict situations.
• Certifications: CPR/FA, within 30 days of hire
