Overview

We are seeking a reliable and organized Grab N Go Coordinator to assist in oversight with our Summer Grab N' Go Food Program during our summer season. This position involves assisting and leading the planning, preparing, and coordinating meals and kitchen activities pertaining to our general operations and Grab N' Go.  Ensuring a clean and safe environment, while staying current with state and government policies and regulations. Ideal candidates are efficient, self-motivated, and comfortable working both

independently and with a team. Provides quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead Grab N Go Summer Food Service Program.
  • Supervise the stocking, preparing, and service all food and beverage items for YMCA Grab N Go Food Programs.
  • Maintain acceptable standards in the Food Service areas based upon the State of Kansas, OSHA, USDA, and CACFP Regulations.
  • Create and follow all assigned schedules, menus, and operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting all participants, maintaining a clean and safe facility, and consistently demonstrating professional conduct.
  • Responds to challenges with possible solutions in a timely manner.
  • Assist with Administrative paperwork including all CACFP, SFSP federal requirements.
  • All other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Experience assisting and preparing food for groups.
  • Must be knowledgeable and willing to take classes regarding food preparation, storage, etc.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with children, employees, and guests.
  • Strong  organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and meeting deadlines.
  • Use good judgment and discretion within the department and assignments.
  • Valid Kansas driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Follow all Salina Family YMCA and Kansas Department of Health and Environment safety requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications: CPR & First Aid, within 30 days of hire. (Training opportunities available)

Posted Salary Range

USD $17.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
